This aerial view shows Parkland Hospital after Southwestern Medical College's prefabricated plywood buildings (often called "the shacks") were added behind the hospital along Oak Lawn Avenue. Today a DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit) rail line runs on the route of the railroad shown, and the Dallas North Toll Road runs parallel to the DART line.
